I help adults and couples impacted by grief and trauma who feel emotionally stuck in patterns that no longer reflect their values and they struggle to see connections between their current habits and impacts on their lives. My work helps them clarify meaning, heal relational wounds, and realign with what matters most while gaining a more holistic mindset. In particular, I have a clinical focus on first responder populations and those in the caring professions (pastors, counselors, social workers, medical fields), and particularly in setbacks and transitions.
My clients often feel emotionally stuck and disconnected, living on autopilot under the weight of internalized messages from trauma, grief, upbringing, and society. Due to the race of life, major setbacks, or plans that just did not satisfy when achieved, they’ve lost touch with their core values and sense of purpose, and often feel fearful or disillusioned about the possibility of meaningful relationships or a fulfilling life. They feel stuck and not sure what to change or how to change.
My unique approach combines evidence-based therapies with spiritual and existential meaning-making to help clients uncover who they are, heal, and live aligned with their values and beliefs. Clients change and improve in understanding their “why” and develop and put into practice their “how” of healing and growth. I help them explore who they are now, who they are becoming, and how to realign their lives with truth-based, human-centered values—often incorporating spiritual or faith-based meaning.
My clients experience a profound shift toward peace, joy, meaning and clarity. They enjoy more ease and fulfillment in relationships, feel confident in setting healthy boundaries, and gain insight into their emotional world while gaining greater sense of their place, purpose, and identity in daily living. They become more fair, flexible, and realistic—toward themselves, others, and life itself. Ultimately, my clients emerge with a renewed sense of purpose, grounded values, and a compassionate, realistic vision for how to live meaningfully and methods and ideas of resources for staying the course.
